In any event, SOLYPSE ensures that the personal data processed is adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is collected and/or further processed.

3. Why do we collect your personal data?

SOLYPSE collects, processes and stores your personal data as a data controller for various purposes ("Purposes") and on the following legal bases:

  • For legitimate interests, in the context of:

    • the management of commercial relations, in particular to respond to your contact requests in connection with our Services or access to the EQUANIM application;
    • the performance of statistical studies, analyses and audience measurements.
  • To ensure compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations as defined by the legislation in force, in particular in the context of managing rights and requests to exercise individual rights.

4. Cookies

When you visit the EQUANIM website (hereinafter referred to as the "website"), certain information relating to your browsing may be stored in "cookie" files installed on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone or any other device optimised for the Internet).

These cookies are issued by and for the purpose of facilitating your browsing on this Site, for audience measurement reasons.

A "cookie" is a piece of information, usually small and identified by a name, which can be transmitted to the user's browser software by the website or application to which they connect. The browser software stores it on the user's device (computer, tablet, mobile phone or any other device optimised for the internet) for a certain period of time and sends it back to the web server each time the user reconnects to it.

Cookies are mostly used to make a website or application work, improve its functioning and make it more efficient. A website or application can read and query these files, enabling it to recognise the user's device and record important information that will facilitate the use of the site.

4.2 What cookies do we use?

  • Technical cookies essential to the functioning of the site:
These cookies are purely technical and strictly necessary for the proper functioning of our website. As such, they are not subject to consent. However, you can technically block them using your browser settings, but your experience on the site may be degraded. These include, for example, cookies that allow you to save your cookie preferences or cookies that allow you to personalise your user interface.

  • Cookies for measuring website audience via "Google Analytics" cookies, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"):
The data collected by Google Analytics is available at the following link: "Data collected by Google Analytics – Google Analytics Help".

The information generated by cookies about the use of the website will be transmitted to a Google server where it will be stored for 14 months (unless the User withdraws their consent, in which case the data collected by these cookies will be deleted).

Google uses this information to measure User interactions on the website and provide us with statistical reports on these aspects. IP addresses help to ensure the security of the service and tell us which part of the world users are coming from. Google does not associate the IP address transmitted by the user's browser software as part of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google.

The data collected by these cookies may be processed by Google and the service providers used by Google worldwide for hosting, technical support and IT facility management purposes. The data may therefore be processed within the European Union or in countries outside the European Union.

These third-country data may sometimes offer the same level of protection as in European Union countries (e.g. Japan, Argentina, Israel, which benefit from a European Commission decision recognising the adequacy of their data protection legislation), or may not offer the same level of data protection as the European Union (e.g. United States, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, India, Brazil, Kenya, Malaysia, Australia, United Arab Emirates).

Transfers to countries that do not offer the same level of data protection as the European Union are based on standard contractual clauses from the European Commission.

Users can obtain further information on data processing by Google Analytics at the following address: "Google Analytics Help".

Users may also prevent Google from recording data generated by cookies and related to their use of the website (including their IP address), as well as the processing of their data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
    http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr

By accepting the storage of Google cookies, the user consents to the processing of their data in accordance with the terms and for the purposes set out in Google's privacy policy regarding the use of Google Analytics, which can be accessed for reference via the following link:

4.3 User choices regarding cookies

When the user connects to the site, a banner appears on their device to obtain their consent or refusal regarding the storage of audience measurement and social media cookies. Until the user has made their choice, this banner will remain visible, in accordance with data protection regulations.

Every six (6) months, we will ask the user to confirm or reconsider their choice (configure, refuse or accept cookies) by displaying the banner on their device again.

Users may withdraw their consent and change their choice at any time [insert link to cookie management tool].

Users can also configure their browser software so that cookies are stored on their device or, conversely, rejected, either systematically or depending on their issuer. Users can also configure their browser software so that they are asked to accept or refuse cookies on a case-by-case basis before a cookie is likely to be stored on their device.

If users refuse to accept cookies on their device, or if they delete those that are stored there, they may no longer be able to benefit from a number of features that are nevertheless necessary for using the website.

Where applicable, we accept no responsibility for the consequences of the site not functioning properly as a result of the user refusing or deleting cookies that are necessary for its operation.

5. Who has access to your personal data?

SOLYPSE undertakes to preserve the confidentiality of your personal data and to comply with all legal requirements concerning the sharing and disclosure of personal data.

In this regard, your personal data will only be accessible to a limited list of recipients, depending on their needs and on a case-by-case basis, and in particular to the departments and personnel authorised within SOLYPSE to fulfil the purposes set out above.

Your personal data may also be accessible to external service providers of SOLYPSE, in particular for the purposes of developing, hosting and maintaining the website and supporting the IT tools used by SOLYPSE.

In this regard, if some of our IT service providers are located outside the European Economic Area, we ensure that transfers to these providers are subject to adequate safeguards, in particular by signing the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and implementing appropriate security measures.

6. How long do we keep your personal data?

Your personal data is kept in a form that allows you to be identified for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

The retention periods applied are determined according to SOLYPSE's operational needs, the rights of the data subjects, legal or regulatory retention obligations and applicable statutory limitation periods, as well as the recommendations of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

7. Your rights regarding the protection of personal data

You may at any time ask SOLYPSE to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability of your personal data, as well as your rights to object to and restrict the processing of your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.
